About Us

Good engineering starts with listening, understanding how a building operates, and developing solutions that work in practice. I bring more than 25 years of experience in the HVAC and construction industry to every project, combining technical design with a practical understanding of installation, maintenance, and long-term performance.

I graduated from Utah State University in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and joined CCI Mechanical in 2002. I earned my Professional Engineering license in 2006 and became engineering manager in 2015. Along the way, I have had the privilege of working with talented engineers, contractors, architects, and building owners whose knowledge and perspectives continue to shape my approach.

In 2023, I founded Allen Mechanical Engineering to offer clients a more personal, responsive engineering experience. My goal is to be someone you can reach, collaborate with, and trust to work through the details, from initial system design to solving challenges in an existing building.

Outside of work, my wife, Mardee, and I have been married since 1995 and live in Manti, Utah. We have six children (four daughters and two sons) and enjoy spending time with our growing family, including our grandchildren.
